Q: Do I have to be present at Troy Old Timers’ Day to win?
A: You do not need to be present to win. We will notify the winner.
Q: What’s the first thing I should do if I win the rifle?
A: Contact the gunsmith to confirm your eligibility to possess and receive a firearm. The winner must submit to a background check as required by state and federal law to demonstrate eligibility.
Q: What happens if I win and I don’t meet eligibility requirements of the state and federal law?
A: You will forfeit your winner’s status and your ticket purchase price will be refunded. It is the responsibility of the contestant to determine if they are eligible to possess and receive a firearm prior to purchasing the tickets. The Troy Lions will draw another ticket to determine a new potential winner.
Q: Why can’t I transfer my winning ticket to someone else?
A: To remain fully compliant with state and federal laws, the winning ticket may not be transferred to someone else. Only the person named on the ticket is eligible to win.
Q: My eligibility to possess and receive a firearm has been established. Now what?
A: You will complete an order with the gunsmith detailing the specifications for your custom rifle. The gunsmith will order the components you have specified and assemble your custom rifle when the parts have been received.
Q: How long will it take to build my custom rifle?
A: Lead time depends on availability from the manufacturer of your custom selections. We anticipate a 30 to 90 day period from the time you specify your custom rifle to the time it’s delivered to you. Of course, this again all depends on the availability from the manufacturer, which is outside of our control.
Q: What is included with my custom rifle?
A: The standard components are offered on the Custom Rifle Flyer. They will be assembled, tested and adjusted as necessary to ensure you receive a safe, high quality, custom rifle.
